SH2E is 6 months away from completing its mission. The project is already on track to meet its objective: to provide a harmonized multidimensional framework for LCA and prospective benchmarking of HCP systems. To this end, the SH2E project will demonstrate in the coming final months specific guidelines for environmental (LCA), economic (LCC) and social (ECVS) life cycle assessment and benchmarking of FCH systems, while addressing their consistent integration into robust guidelines. These guidelines are intended to be globally accepted as the reference document for LCA of FCH systems and lay the groundwork for future standardization, going beyond updating past initiatives such as the FC-HyGuide project and IEA Task 36 on hydrogen by reformulating them to address underdeveloped topics such as materials criticality and prospective assessment.

This month the project partners met at the Symbio partner’s offices in Lyon for the 6th General Assembly. They exchanged views and discussed the results obtained to date. Results that will be shown to the scientific and professional community in the coming months, as a period of intense activity begins for the project. March will be a key date in the project with the celebration of the SH2E Symposium at EHEC 2024 Bilbao.
